ASEAN Automotive Outlook

The automotive markets in the ASEAN 5 countries have been shaped largely by government policy and subsequent incentives to promote specific product champions.

Hence, while Thailand decided on the one-tonne pickup to be its growth driver, the Indonesian industry was developed through MPVs and more recently Low Cost Green Car (LCGC).

This presentation will illustrate the ASEAN’s automotive markets through its past development and the direction of future government policies.
